I started in construction, spent twenty years owning and running an interior plantscaping company, and sold it. Along the way I framed office suites, maintained twenty single-family rentals, designed and hung moss wall art, and built sets for film work. I’ve led installation crews and I’ve been the guy on the ladder — usually both in the same week.
That range matters more than it sounds. A house rarely has one problem. It has a door that sticks, a fan that wobbles, and a gutter nobody’s looked at since 2019. I can handle all three in one visit, which is generally cheaper and far less disruptive than scheduling three trades.
